Speech Language Pathologist in Joliet, IL
Join a dedicated educational environment as a full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) providing vital services in a self-contained early childhood setting. This contract position is designed to cover a leave and runs through the end of the current school year.
Location: Elementary school in Joliet, IL
Assignment Duration: Immediate start through 05/22/2026
Setting: On-site only – no virtual work permitted
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized speech and language therapy to students within a self-contained early childhood center
- Collaborate with educators and other specialists to develop and implement tailored treatment plans
- Monitor progress and adjust therapy strategies according to student needs and goals
- Maintain comprehensive records and provide regular reports on student development
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary approaches for student success
Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Possess the Professional Educator License (PEL) with SLP endorsement granted by the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE)
- Demonstrated experience working in school-based or early childhood settings strongly preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to effectively engage with students, families, and staff
