Pediatric School Speech Language Pathologist - Joliet, Illinois
A Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is needed for a contract position in a school setting located in Joliet, IL. This role offers 37.5 hours per week and covers a maternity leave from February through May 27th. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified SLP looking to gain experience working with pediatric populations in an educational environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language therapy services to students with a range of communication disorders.
- Develop individualized treatment plans and implement interventions to meet students’ needs.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other education professionals to support student progress.
- Conduct speech, language, and hearing assessments as required.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation in compliance with school policies and professional standards.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA.
- Eligibility for or completion of Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) preferred.
- Experience working in pediatric settings, particularly schools or healthcare environments.
- Strong understanding of speech, language, and communication disorders in children.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
