Step into a rewarding role supporting elementary students as a school-based Speech-Language Pathologist in the greater Jersey City, NJ area! This full-time, contract opportunity runs from as soon as possible until early December, providing dedicated SLP services within an elementary school environment. The schedule offers consistency—five days a week, seven hours each day—allowing you to build rapport with students and staff while delivering essential support.
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences
- Current New Jersey SLP license (or eligibility to obtain)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred, though strong CFY candidates will be considered
- Prior experience in a school setting strongly desired
- Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills
- Commitment to fostering growth and inclusion for all students
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat students with speech, language, and communication challenges
- Develop and implement individualized intervention plans in alignment with IEP goals
- Collaborate with teachers, special educators, and school teams to support student progress
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to special education documentation
- Consult with families to provide resources, updates, and support strategies
- Offer direct and push-in services during classroom activities as needed
