Pediatric School Speech Language Pathologist - Jersey City, NJ
A dynamic contract opportunity is available for a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to support students in a vibrant school setting near Jersey City, NJ. The assignment begins September 15th and runs through October 22nd, with potential for extension. Ideal candidates possess the following qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or eligibility for Clinical Fellowship (CFY)
- New Jersey SLP licensure (or ability to obtain before start date)
- Experience in school-based or pediatric settings is highly desirable
- Strong collaboration skills and adaptability to evolving caseloads
- Effective communication abilities for working with students, staff, and families
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing speech, language, and communication therapy to students based on IEP goals
- Conducting assessments to guide intervention planning and therapy approaches
- Maintaining thorough documentation in compliance with school and state requirements
- Collaborating with teachers, support staff, and families to optimize student outcomes
- Participating in IEP meetings and case conferences when necessary
- Adapting therapy activities to meet individual student needs
