Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in Jefferson, GA
Make a meaningful impact supporting high school students in a dynamic educational setting! School-based Speech-Language Pathologists and experienced SLPAs are needed for a rewarding contract opportunity at two local high schools. This position offers the chance to work collaboratively with special education teams to empower student success, as you deliver critical speech and language services from late July through the following May.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Georgia SLP License and GaPSC Certification for SLP/CF applicants
- SLPAs must have at least a Bachelor’s degree and GaPSC credential
- Open to SLPs with Certificate of Clinical Competence, Clinical Fellows, and qualified Assistants
- Previous school experience preferred, but all levels are encouraged to apply
- Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills adaptable to a school environment
- Passion for supporting students’ communication and academic progress
Responsibilities:
- Provide onsite speech-language services at two high schools
- Collaborate with special education and classroom teachers
- Manage a caseload of approximately 45 students, varying in service intensity (consult, 1x/week, 2x/month)
- Serve primarily students in program classrooms
- Conduct assessments, develop IEP goals, and maintain documentation in accordance with district standards
- Engage families and staff as partners in student success
