Speech Language Pathologist in Holland, TX
Make a lasting impact by providing essential speech-language services to students from pre-kindergarten through 8th grade in a dynamic educational environment. Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Valid Texas SLP license (Texas SLP certification required)
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Experience in a school-based setting, especially servicing PK-8th grade, preferred
- Strong skills in student assessment, therapy, and evaluation
- Ability to work effectively as part of an interdisciplinary team
- Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational abilities
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and consultative speech-language therapy services to students across multiple grade levels
- Complete comprehensive assessments and evaluations to determine student needs and eligibility
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) according to state and federal guidelines
- Document progress meticulously and participate in regular IEP meetings with staff and families
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and administrators to ensure that therapy goals align with educational objectives
- Provide education and guidance to families about home support and generalization of communication skills
This is a full-time, on-site, permanent position with a 35–37.5 hour workweek, following the academic calendar from August through June of each school year. It’s an excellent role for professionals dedicated to fostering growth and communication success in children while working in a supportive and collaborative setting.
