A contract opportunity is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to support students in grades K-5 within a school setting in Atlanta, GA. This role focuses on delivering specialized speech and language services to young learners, helping them develop essential communication skills in an engaging and supportive environment.
Responsibilities include:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments for K-5 students
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on student needs
- Provide direct therapy sessions focused on speech sound production, language comprehension, fluency, and social communication skills
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to support student progress
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of student performance and interventions
- Participate in meetings such as Individualized Education Program (IEP) sessions and contribute to multidisciplinary team discussions
Qualifications:
- Valid state license or certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Experience working with elementary-aged children (grades K-5) in a school setting
- Strong knowledge of speech and language development, disorders, and intervention strategies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with educators, parents, and students
- Ability to manage caseloads efficiently and meet documentation deadlines
