Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Current licensure as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)
- Background in pediatric speech and language therapy, preferably in school settings
- Experience implementing therapeutic interventions and collaborating with supervising SLPs
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Flexibility and adaptability in fast-paced academic environments
- Commitment to fostering a supportive, inclusive atmosphere for students
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech-language therapy to students under SLP supervision
- Assist in developing and implementing treatment plans tailored to individual needs
- Document student progress and maintain accurate records in accordance with school and state guidelines
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student success
- Prepare activity materials and adapt strategies as needed
- Participate in team meetings and support the wider goals of the speech department
