This itinerant role serves PreK-12 students identified with mild to moderate needs, providing invaluable speech-language services throughout the academic year. Key Qualifications and Requirements:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current and active Florida Department of Health SLP licensure (CCC required)
- Prior school-based SLP experience, serving PreK-12 (preferred)
- Ability to manage a diverse caseload and travel between multiple school locations
- Solid written and verbal communication skills for collaboration and documentation
- Commitment to professional ethical standards and maintaining compliance
- Must complete or provide verification of current fingerprints through AHCA Clearinghouse; timely documentation will expedite credentialing
Daily Responsibilities:
- Deliver group and individual speech-language services to students with varying eligibility categories
- Conduct evaluations, re-evaluations, and develop Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Consult with teachers, parents, and interdisciplinary teams to support student progress
- Maintain accurate and timely records, including service notes and progress monitoring
- Participate in IEP meetings and support district initiatives in compliance with state/federal guidelines
- Adhere to district protocols and itinerant scheduling requirements based on student site assignments
