A full-time Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available in Jacksonville, FL, serving the school setting under a contract position from ASAP through May 28, 2026. This role supports students across PreK-12 with mild to moderate needs in an itinerant capacity, working approximately 35 hours per week spread across multiple school sites.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive speech and language therapy services to students with diverse communication needs
- Manage an estimated caseload of approximately 60 students, adjusting based on location and student requirements
- Collaborate with educators and support staff to develop individualized education programs (IEPs) and implement treatment plans
- Maintain detailed documentation and comply with district and state guidelines
- Participate in meetings and consultations to support student progress
Qualifications and Experience:
- Active Florida Department of Health Speech Language Pathology licensure required
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred
- Experience working within school settings, preferably serving PreK-12 student populations
- Ability to work itinerantly across multiple schools within Duval County Public Schools
- Must complete fingerprinting and background clearance through AHCA Clearinghouse or obtain new prints if necessary
- Strong communication, organizational, and collaborative skills
Location:
Jacksonville, Florida – on-site work at multiple Duval County Public Schools; this role is not open to VOCO (virtual or remote work)
