School Speech Language Pathologist - Ione, California
Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students with communication needs for the 2026-2027 academic year. In this in-person role, you’ll make a meaningful difference by serving a small, focused caseload of eight students (six on campus, two receiving Home Hospital services) while also providing consultation to three Special Day Classes. Your expertise will be key in completing approximately 40-50 assessments annually, with the support of a collaborative educational team.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid California SLP credential or certification required
- Previous experience in a school setting preferred
- Familiarity with assessment, intervention, and consultation for diverse student populations
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Commitment to in-person services only
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized speech-language therapy to assigned students
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEP goals related to speech and language
- Conduct comprehensive assessments, preparing clear and thorough documentation
- Provide consultation and support to designated Special Day Classes
- Maintain ongoing communication with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Serve both on-campus students and those receiving Home Hospital services, adjusting intervention and support as needed
