School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Independence, Missouri
Make a meaningful impact in a supportive educational environment by providing speech-language services on a contract basis. This role centers around working with students within a K-12 setting, supporting them through targeted interventions while a staff member is on leave. You’ll have the chance to foster communication skills and academic success as part of a vibrant school team. This position is designed for those ready to start as soon as possible and will run through early December, with the possibility of extension.
What We’re Looking For:
- Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Active Missouri SLP license
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
- Previous school-based SLP experience preferred
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Ability to adapt to changing caseload needs as details are confirmed
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language pathology services to a diverse caseload (details provided upon assignment)
- Conduct thorough assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
- Collaborate with teachers, administrative staff, and families to support students’ goals
- Maintain up-to-date and compliant documentation
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to overall academic planning
- Effectively communicate progress and strategies with families and staff
