A Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is needed to support K-12 students in a school setting located in Hyattsville, MD. This contract role offers a commitment of 35 hours per week, structured into 7-hour days, focusing on providing speech, language, and communication services to help students meet their academic and social milestones.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations of students’ speech and language needs.
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals tailored to each student.
- Deliver both direct therapy and consultative services to students.
- Collaborate effectively with teachers, families, and IEP teams to ensure coordinated support.
Qualifications:
- Active Maryland license as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is required.
- Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE) Certification or eligibility to obtain is necessary.
- Experience in school or pediatric settings is preferred but not mandatory.
Position Details:
- Contract role for the current school year (CSY).
- Opportunities for full-time or part-time schedules available.
- The caseload will encompass K-12 students.
- Services must be delivered on-site.
