School-Based SLP | Spring, Texas
Step into a fulfilling contract role supporting students in the greater Spring, TX area as a School Speech-Language Pathologist. You’ll make an impact each day, working alongside dedicated educators and student support teams to ensure that learners receive high-quality speech and language services.
Work in a dynamic educational environment, splitting your 40-hour workweek between one or occasionally two school sites, both elementary and primary. With a manageable caseload of around 60 students, you can focus on meaningful, individualized interventions. If you hold your CCCs, there are also opportunities to supervise, guiding and supporting newer clinicians as they build their skills.
Preferred Background:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current Speech-Language Pathology license for Texas
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred; clinical fellows (CFs) are also encouraged to apply
- Prior school-based or pediatric experience valued, but not required
- Comfortable supervising speech assistants or CFs if credentialed
- Strong interpersonal skills for collaborating with teachers, families, and staff
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech and language therapy to students in diverse elementary and primary school settings
- Conduct assessments, develop IEP goals, and document student progress
- Collaborate with classroom teachers and special education teams to support students’ communication needs
- Supervise speech assistants or clinical fellows, if applicable
- Maintain compliance with all state and school district policies and procedures
