Pediatric Speech Therapist in Minneapolis, MN
Step into a dynamic charter academy serving a diverse K-8th student population near Minneapolis, MN, and provide meaningful support as a Speech-Language Pathologist. This is an on-site contract opportunity dedicated to supporting students with mild to moderate needs, replacing an outgoing virtual provider for the upcoming school year. The academic calendar runs from August 24th to June 9th.
This rewarding environment offers approximately 5.5 student contact hours per day, beginning at 8:00 am and wrapping up at 1:20 pm. Additional time may be dedicated to essential professional tasks such as data collection, screenings, evaluations, writing IEPs, and collaborating with staff and families. Flexibility is possible based on changing enrollment, but overall caseload and structure are expected to be consistent. Qualifications and Experience:
- Current or eligible licensure as an SLP in Minnesota
- CCC-SLP, CFY, and school-based SLP experience highly valued
- Pediatric and K-8th grade experience preferred
- Prior experience working with mild to moderate needs in a diverse, school-age, multicultural setting
- Strong assessment, IEP, and progress-monitoring skills
- Bilingual skills a plus
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct therapy and classroom support for students
- Conduct screenings and evaluations
- Interpret assessment results and document them clearly
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and collaborate with teachers and families
- Maintain thorough, timely student records and progress reports
