Sunbelt Schools - SLP Contract Today Apply

Take the next step in your career as a Speech-Language Pathologist with a rewarding, contract opportunity serving children and adolescents in a vibrant South Florida pediatric outpatient clinic. This one-year assignment, with the possibility of extensions or a permanent placement, offers the chance to provide vital support to students ages 2 through 18, focusing primarily on those with mild to moderate needs.

You'll engage in one-on-one therapy—never group sessions— enabling you to tailor your approach and see the meaningful progress each child makes. The caseload centers on children with pragmatic language differences, receptive and expressive language delays, reading and writing challenges, articulation needs, and high-functioning autism. No cases involve medically fragile children, allowing you to devote your expertise where developmental and educational supports are most needed. You'll have the satisfaction of guiding each child individually and watching their communication skills blossom.

Qualifications and Desired Experience

  • Current or eligible licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist in Florida
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) in progress or completed
  • Previous experience in pediatric or school-based settings preferred
  • Strong clinical skills in assessment, evaluation, and individual therapy planning
  • Familiarity with IEP processes and documentation

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct assessments and evaluations for a diverse pediatric caseload
  • Deliver direct, individualized therapy focused on specific student needs
  • Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
  • Work with students on pragmatics, receptive/expressive language, reading, writing, articulation, and social communication
