Qualifications & Experience Sought:

  • Valid North Carolina State Speech-Language Pathologist license (SLP)
  • SLP-CCC certification preferred
  • Relevant experience in either traditional elementary (K–5) or specialized populations (K–12 with complex disabilities)
  • Confidence in delivering direct therapy, conducting evaluations, and participating in IEP planning and management
  • Familiarity with adaptive communication devices (AAC) and multidisciplinary teamwork a plus

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct speech and language therapy to assigned student populations
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and contribute to the development and management of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Collaborate effectively with teachers, staff, and families to develop communication goals and strategies
  • Track progress, maintain thorough documentation, and adapt interventions accordingly
  • Engage in problem-solving for students requiring specialized communication supports
