Qualifications & Experience Sought:
- Valid North Carolina State Speech-Language Pathologist license (SLP)
- SLP-CCC certification preferred
- Relevant experience in either traditional elementary (K–5) or specialized populations (K–12 with complex disabilities)
- Confidence in delivering direct therapy, conducting evaluations, and participating in IEP planning and management
- Familiarity with adaptive communication devices (AAC) and multidisciplinary teamwork a plus
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech and language therapy to assigned student populations
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and contribute to the development and management of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Collaborate effectively with teachers, staff, and families to develop communication goals and strategies
- Track progress, maintain thorough documentation, and adapt interventions accordingly
- Engage in problem-solving for students requiring specialized communication supports
