Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) - High Point, NC

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a Speech-Language Pathologist supporting students located near High Point, North Carolina. Four dedicated SLPs are needed to serve in the enriching school environments within East and Southern areas of the district. Whether you're experienced or a new Clinical Fellow, this is an excellent place to make a meaningful impact with district-provided supervision for SLP-CFs. Please note, SLPA roles are not available at this time.
This full-time role spans the entire upcoming academic year, from August 12, 2026, through June 11, 2027, offering 35-37.5 weekly hours and a manageable student caseload (up to 35 students maximum). The district is flexible on caseload assignments and eager to align your strengths and preferences, which will be detailed further during the interview process.
Qualifications:
- Current state licensure as an SLP in North Carolina is required
- CCC-SLP credential preferred; Clinical Fellows encouraged to apply (supervision available)
- Experience working in K-12 educational settings
- Strong background in supporting students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (AU) and low cognitive disabilities is highly valued
- Ability to work collaboratively and adapt across diverse school environments
Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders within school-aged populations
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans tailored to students’ needs
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to optimize student outcomes
- Maintain thorough documentation in accordance with district and state guidelines
- Contribute actively to IEP meetings, progress reporting, and goal setting
