Speech Language Pathologist in Hialeah, FL

Openings are available at both a charter school in Coral Springs—with a four-days-per-week, 32-hour schedule—and at a charter school in Plantation, offering a five-days-per-week, 40-hour schedule.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Active SLP license for the state of Florida
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or eligibility for Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY)
- Previous experience in school settings is highly preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to adapt to changing caseloads and diverse student needs
- Strong collaboration skills for working alongside educators and families
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech and language therapy to students, following individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and interpret results for eligibility and program planning
- Document therapy sessions and maintain accurate records in compliance with school and state guidelines
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to support student outcomes
- Participate in IEP meetings, multidisciplinary team discussions, and professional development opportunities
- Educate and offer resources to staff and families regarding communication strategies
