Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Active ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Current California SLP license or eligibility to obtain prior to start
- Previous experience within a school setting strongly preferred
- Competence in evaluating, diagnosing, and developing individualized treatment plans for school-aged children
- Excellent organizational, documentation, and communication abilities
- Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, other related service providers, and parents
- Commitment to fostering positive learning environments for diverse student populations
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and consultative speech-language therapy services to students, both individually and in groups
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify speech, language, and communication needs
- Develop and implement IEPs in compliance with district, state, and federal guidelines
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting interventions as necessary
- Collaborate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute expertise to support student success
- Participate in professional development sessions throughout the academic year
- Communicate regularly with families and faculty regarding students’ progress and goals
