Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Active Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) license in North Carolina
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)
- Previous experience providing speech therapy in educational settings preferred
- Strong collaboration and communication skills to work with teachers, families, and support staff
- Proficiency in conducting assessments and developing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech, language, and communication assessments for students referred by the school
- Develop and deliver tailored therapy sessions, both individual and group, based on student needs
- Write detailed progress reports and participate in IEP meetings
- Collaborate closely with educators and families to support student learning goals
- Document services provided and maintain regular communication with stakeholders
- Stay current on best practices in school-based speech therapy and integrate innovative strategies
