Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Active North Carolina Speech Language Pathologist license is required
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology; Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) highly preferred
- Experience working within school settings, proficient with assistive listening technology
- Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills
- Willingness to supervise a Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) if needed
- Ability to adjust caseload management based on experience and school needs
- Candidate must be available Monday through Friday, working 37.5 hours per week
- Specialists with a background working with diverse student populations encouraged to apply
Position Responsibilities:
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders in school-aged children
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for each student on your caseload
- Provide support and training in the use of assistive listening devices and technology
- Maintain thorough and timely documentation
- Engage in collaborative problem-solving with teachers, parents, and other support staff
- Supervise a Speech Language Pathology Assistant if the SLPA is added to the team
- Participate in IEP meetings, progress updates, and ongoing case management
