A contractual opportunity is available in Palm Desert, CA for a qualified Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide specialized support within a school setting. This role focuses on delivering comprehensive speech and language services to pediatric and school-aged populations, ensuring effective communication development and therapeutic outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct in-depth evaluations of students presenting with speech and language disorders
- Design and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each student's needs
- Facilitate targeted therapy sessions to improve speech and language capabilities
- Carefully track and document student progress and therapy outcomes
- Collaborate with educators, therapists, and other professionals to provide integrated care
- Involve and educate families to support therapeutic interventions and foster communication at home
Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution
- Active state licensure or eligibility for licensure to practice as an SLP in California
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) is highly preferred
- Experience working with pediatric and/or school-aged clients is desirable
- Strong communication, interpersonal skills, and a collaborative mindset
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
