Embark on a rewarding contract role providing Speech-Language Pathology services in a dynamic school setting near Harvey, LA (New Orleans area). As a valued member of the academic community, you'll have the chance to make a meaningful difference supporting students’ communication development and academic success. This position is scheduled to start as soon as possible and extends through May 27, 2027, with a full-time commitment of 35 hours per week, Monday through Friday, in line with the local school calendar.
Required Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Current (or eligibility for) state licensure in Speech-Language Pathology
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) strongly preferred
- Ability to fulfill district credentialing, including drug screening and fingerprinting
Preferred Experience:
- Previous pediatric or school-based SLP experience is a plus, but new graduates with required credentials are encouraged to apply
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct assessment and therapeutic intervention for students in a school-based setting (caseload and age groups to be determined)
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and administration to develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to student needs
- Maintain thorough documentation of progress, assessment results, and treatment plans in compliance with district and state guidelines
- Participate in team meetings and provide expertise in communication disorders within multidisciplinary teams
