School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Harlem, Georgia
Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity as a Speech Language Pathologist supporting students in a vibrant educational setting. This full-time position offers the chance to make a meaningful impact from ASAP through the end of the 2026/2027 school year, working Monday through Friday for 37.5 hours per week. The assignment will be onsite, with virtual (VOCO) candidates considered for the right fit.
In this dynamic role, you'll help students develop essential communication skills by providing direct speech and language therapy, conducting thorough assessments, and designing individualized treatment plans. Your expertise will be integral to collaborating with educators, counselors, and families to promote student progress and support academic success. You’ll also ensure compliance with all documentation and reporting standards as set by district and state guidelines.
To thrive in this role, you'll need:
- Active Georgia SLP License and GaPSC Educator Certification (verification required)
- Proven background providing speech therapy in a school-based environment
- Experience developing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and conducting comprehensive evaluations
- Strong collaboration and communication skills with diverse teams
- Reliability and commitment to professional excellence
Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering evidence-based speech and language services to a diverse student population
- Conducting screenings and comprehensive assessments to identify student needs
- Developing, implementing, and monitoring individualized therapy plans
- Participating in IEP meetings and contributing to team decisions
- Maintaining accurate records and ensuring confidentiality at all times
