School Speech Language Pathologist - Norfolk, Virginia

A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available for the 2024-2025 school year in a K-12 school setting located in Norfolk, VA. This role supports students across four school sites following an itinerant model, providing direct in-person services to children from kindergarten through 12th grade.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting speech, language, and communication assessments
- Developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Collaborating with educators, parents, and support staff to enhance student progress
- Maintaining accurate documentation and progress tracking
- Participating in orientation and training sessions beginning in July 2025
- Managing a schedule approximately from 7:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Qualifications and desired experience:
- Certification as a Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred
- Experience working in K-12 educational settings, including itinerant services
- Ability to serve students with diverse communication needs
- Familiarity with teletherapy techniques beneficial but this position requires in-person services only
- Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills
This position offers a full semester commitment with a start date in August 2025. It provides the opportunity to impact student success through targeted speech and language support across multiple sites.
