Pediatric School Speech Language Pathologist - Groton, NY

Make a meaningful difference supporting students across grade levels in Ithaca, NY. We’re seeking a dedicated Speech Language Pathologist to join a school-based team for the 2025-2026 academic year. This contract position offers 32.5 hours per week and the opportunity to work with K-12 students presenting with a range of needs—from mild to severe disabilities, including autism, cognitive delays, emotional disturbance, and Down syndrome.
Key Requirements:
- Valid New York State SLP license
- Active TSSLD (Teacher of Students with Speech and Language Disabilities) certification
- Clinical Certificate of Competence (CCC) preferred, but Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates are welcome
- Experience with school-based SLP services, especially pediatrics, is highly valued
- Familiarity with teletherapy platforms a plus
- Strong collaboration, communication, and case management skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language assessment, diagnosis, and intervention for K-12 students
- Develop and implement individualized education plans for students with various disorders
- Communicate progress with educators, administrators, and families
- Incorporate evidence-based practices and technology into therapy sessions (in-person and teletherapy)
- Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with NY school and district requirements
- Offer support and education to staff regarding speech and language disorders
