A contract position is available for a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide maternity leave coverage in Elkhart, IN. Work Schedule: 4-5 days per week, 6-7 hours per day
Setting: Onsite at two locations located within one mile of each other
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide speech-language services to a caseload of approximately 30 students, primarily in grades K-2.
- Complete an average of 3 to 4 evaluations per month.
- Utilize the Indiana IEP system to develop and manage individual education plans.
- Handle Medicaid billing via the RELAY system.
- Work collaboratively with educators and staff to support students' communication needs.
- Manage a mild caseload with no augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) required.
Ideal Candidate Qualifications:
- Valid SLP licensure and certification (CFY or CCC accepted).
- Experience working within school settings preferred, particularly with early elementary-aged children (K-2).
- Familiarity with Indiana’s IEP system and Medicaid billing processes (RELAY).
- Ability to work onsite consistently at the district’s locations.
- Strong organizational and communication skills to manage caseload effectively.
- Flexibility to work hybrid indirect days for CCC holders.
