Make an impact supporting preschool and early childhood learners by providing skilled speech-language services in a dynamic onsite setting near Glendale, AZ. This full-time, contract opportunity spans the academic year, working with preschool-aged children as well as Child Find programs to support communication development and academic success.
You’ll join a collaborative educational team and enjoy a varied caseload, as assignments are adjusted based on evaluation needs and student volume. Some clinicians may focus more on evaluations with a lower number of ongoing cases (around 30), while others support a higher number of students (up to 60) with fewer evaluations. The role requires adaptability, compassion, and a commitment to evidence-based speech-language pathology practices.
Key Qualifications:
- Active and valid Arizona state SLP license
- SLP educator certificate
- Current IVP fingerprint clearance card
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) required
- Previous experience in school settings, preferably with early childhood or preschool populations
- Effective communication, organization, and documentation skills
- Commitment to professional development and collaborative practice
Responsibilities Include:
- Conduct thorough evaluations and participate in Child Find screenings
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student progress
- Maintain compliance with all required documentation and reporting
- Participate in IEP meetings, goal setting, and progress monitoring
