Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) required
- Valid state license to practice as an SLP in educational settings
- Experience with pediatric and school-based populations (preschool through middle school strongly preferred)
- Ability to work effectively with a variety of communication disorders and diverse student backgrounds
- Strong organizational and communication abilities
- Collaborative approach with teachers, families, and support staff
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and create individualized treatment plans for students with speech, language, and communication challenges
- Document and monitor student progress toward both short-term and annual goals
- Collaborate closely with an SLPA for service delivery and support
- Engage in IEP development and meetings, clearly communicating goals and progress to staff and families
- Provide direct and indirect services to students within varied school environments
- Educate and consult with teachers and caregivers to reinforce communication strategies in classroom and home settings
- Maintain accurate records in compliance with school and district guidelines
