School Speech Language Pathologist - Galt, CA
Step into an impactful role serving students for the 2026-2027 school year as a Speech-Language Pathologist in a dynamic school setting. This contract position is designed for a dedicated SLP ready to provide direct and consultative services to a diverse student population.
You’ll work with a manageable caseload of eight students (six on campus, two receiving Home Hospital services), while also consulting with three SDC classrooms. The role involves conducting approximately 40-50 assessments annually, supporting effective communication and learning outcomes for students at varying levels of need.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid California SLP certification required
- Experience in school-based settings or with pediatric populations preferred
- Strong assessment and caseload management skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
- Commitment to working in-person and engaging with both students and staff
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech and language therapy to assigned students in-person
- Support two students in Home Hospital settings with tailored interventions
- Provide expert consultation to three Special Day Class (SDC) classrooms
- Conduct annual assessments, preparing comprehensive reports and recommendations
- Collaborate with educators, support staff, and families to foster student progress
- Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with state, district, and professional guidelines
