Middle School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in Fort Myers, FL

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity providing Speech-Language Pathology services to middle school students for the 2026-2027 academic year near Fort Myers, FL. This full-time position offers 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday, supporting communication and language development in a vibrant educational environment.
Ideal candidates hold a master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology, possess a valid Florida teacher certification and/or an active Florida Department of Health SLP license, and are prepared to complete fingerprinting and obtain (or transfer) a JLA Badge within the state. Compensation begins at $39 per hour, with additional consideration based on relevant experience.
Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current Florida SLP license and/or teacher certification
- Eligible to apply for, or able to transfer, a JLA Badge; fingerprints must be cleared
- Previous experience with middle school-age students is strongly preferred
- Comfort collaborating with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and documentation skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and develop individualized treatment plans for students requiring speech-language services
- Deliver both direct and indirect therapy sessions as appropriate
- Maintain thorough and accurate case documentation according to district and regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with school staff and families to support student progress and deliver effective interventions
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to educational planning
- Adhere to compliance standards and maintain ethical practice standards
