Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) - Florence, AZ
A school-based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available in Florence, AZ, supporting both a K-8 school and an Early Childhood Learning Center. This contract role offers a full-time schedule of 40 hours per week, split between two educational settings: 40% of the time at a Copper Basin K-8 school and 60% at an Early Childhood Learning Center.
Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality speech-language pathology services to a diverse caseload, including children with medically fragile conditions.
- Manage and deliver individualized therapy to students across different age groups.
- Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student communication goals.
- Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
Caseload Details:
- K-8 site: Approximately 68 students, including 15 medically fragile/MOID students requiring specialized attention.
- Early Childhood Learning Center: Approximately 65-80 students, with adjustments to caseload distribution following the addition of the SLP.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid and current state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Experience working in school settings, preferably with pediatric and medically fragile populations.
- Ability to manage a varied caseload and coordinate care across multiple sites.
- Strong interpersonal skills and collaborative approach to teamwork.
