Step into a rewarding contract role serving students as a Speech-Language Pathologist across both K-8 and early childhood settings. Located in a vibrant community near Florence, AZ, this full-time position offers the unique opportunity to support a diverse population from early learners through middle schoolers, helping them access the communication skills essential for academic success.
In this role, your week will be thoughtfully split, spending 40 hours in total, with approximately two days (.4 FTE) at a K-8 campus and three days (.6 FTE) at an Early Childhood Learning Center. Caseloads are well-structured: the K-8 campus includes about 68 students (15 of whom are Medically Fragile or in MOID programs), while the preschool caseload will balance around 65 thanks to increased support.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Valid state licensure or eligibility for SLP licensure
- Experience with school-aged and/or early childhood populations preferred
- Ability to work compassionately with medically fragile and diverse student needs
- Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and provide therapy for students with speech, language, and communication needs
- Develop individualized treatment plans and IEPs
- Collaborate closely with teachers, staff, and families to support student progress
- Deliver services in both individual and small-group settings
- Maintain thorough, compliant documentation and reports
