Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Valid (or pending) Michigan SLP license; CFY temp license required for clinical fellows
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred; strong CFY candidates considered
- Official university transcripts (required pre-hire)
- Comfort providing onsite services and traveling between schools
- Knowledge of resources for urban students and families preferred
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct individual and group speech/language therapy to K-12 students
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and staff to integrate communication strategies into daily routines
- Set annual IEP goals, document progress, and participate in IEP/MET meetings
- Evaluate students for speech, language, and oral motor impairments
- Provide AAC training and support for students and staff
- Maintain thorough records and compliance with all guidelines
- Contribute to staff professional development and in-service training
- Travel between assigned school sites
