Travel Speech Therapist in Federal Way, WA
This role calls for a licensed Speech Language Pathologist to provide essential evaluation and therapy services in a school setting, with a focus on supporting students from elementary through high school levels. The position offers both full-time and part-time options and extends through the end of the school year. Work onsite Monday through Friday with typical hours from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., depending on the building schedule.
Responsibilities include assessing a wide range of communication disorders such as receptive-expressive language delays, articulation, voice, fluency, neuromuscular, and non-vocal issues. You will document evaluation results thoroughly, connecting communication challenges to educational performance outcomes. Developing treatment plans, recommending interventions, and contributing to Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) are key parts of the role. Caseloads are determined after interviews and aligned with your SLP interests, with an estimated average caseload of 45+ students per week.
Qualifications:
- Current Washington State SLP license or equivalent ESA certification
- Eligibility to complete Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY)
- Recent fingerprint clearance through OSPI (within the past 2 years)
- Experience or interest working with school-age populations is preferred
Location: Federal Way, WA – This is a travel assignment requiring onsite presence in school settings.
