This opportunity calls for experienced Speech Language Pathologists (SLPs) to provide essential services in a school setting in Federal Way, WA. The role is contract-based and available from now through the end of the school year, with options for full-time or part-time schedules. As an onsite position, work hours typically run Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, subject to building hours.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations of communication disorders, including receptive-expressive language, articulation, voice, fluency, and neuromuscular factors.
- Interpret evaluation results and assess the impact of communication difficulties on students’ educational performance.
- Develop individualized treatment plans and contribute recommendations for interventions and Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Manage caseloads primarily involving students at the elementary, middle, or high school levels, with caseload size generally targeting 45+ students per SLP.
- Collaborate with educators and families to support student progress and adjust interventions as needed.
Qualifications:
- Valid Washington State SLP license (ESA required).
- Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) or completion of Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) eligibility.
- Completion of fingerprinting through the Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI) within the past two years.
- Experience or interest in working with varied school-age populations.
