Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in Farmington, MI
An exciting opportunity awaits a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist interested in making a meaningful impact during a maternity leave coverage in a supportive school setting. This contract position begins in March and continues through June 10, 2027, providing consistent, full-time hours at 37.5 per week. The role is well-suited for both experienced SLPs with their CCC, as well as strong Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates who are passionate about supporting students’ communication needs.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current or eligible for state licensure as an SLP
- Hold Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or be in the Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY)
- Previous experience in a school setting preferred, particularly with K-12 students
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to create inclusive, engaging therapy sessions tailored to student needs
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech and language services to a diverse student population
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Assess, identify, and document speech-language needs and progress
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, special education professionals, and families
- Maintain thorough records in compliance with state and district guidelines
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary teams
- Support students in achieving educational and social growth through evidence-based interventions
