This opportunity is ideal for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP or CFY) with a passion for fostering communication skills in a supportive, collaborative educational environment. Position assignments are available in the Dale City, Dumfries, and Woodbridge areas. Experience the fulfillment of helping students from August 17, 2026, through June 12, 2027, working a consistent 35-hour, full-time weekly schedule.
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid Virginia Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license (or Clinical Fellowship Year candidate eligible for VA licensure)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred
- Experience working in school-based settings or with pediatric populations
- Strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with educators, parents, and students
- Ability to adapt to changing caseloads and environments within multiple school sites
- Committed to confidentiality, professional ethics, and student-centered practices
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments for students identified through referral or screening
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to student needs
- Deliver direct therapy to students in accordance with IEP goals, both individually and within group settings
- Collaborate closely with teachers, counselors, and other educational professionals to support student success
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation through progress reports and IEP meetings
- Participate in multi-disciplinary team meetings and professional development opportunities
