State Requirements - Education, Licensure, and Certification
- Valid Georgia Speech-Language Pathology license issued by the Georgia State Board of Examiners.
- Georgia Educator Certification in Speech-Language Pathology preferred or required depending on district placement
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (ASHA CCC-SLP) preferred
- Experience working in a school-based setting is strongly preferred
- Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills required
- Full-time availability required.
Typical Job Duties
- Provide direct speech and language therapy services to students with IEPs
- Conduct evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans aligned with IEP goals
- Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with school staff and families
- Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with district, state, and federal requirements
