A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available to provide leave coverage through June 12, 2026, at a school located in Eugene, OR. This on-site travel assignment is part of a dynamic special education service area that supports students with a range of needs including moderate to severe disabilities, emotional/behavioral disorders, and adjudicated at-risk youth. The role involves collaboration within a multidisciplinary team offering services such as speech language pathology, augmentative communication, behavior consultation, and school psychology.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver speech and language services to students with diverse communication needs.
  • Utilize both low and high tech augmentative communication systems as appropriate.
  • Collaborate effectively with students, parents, school staff, and interdisciplinary teams.
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding student and staff information.
  • Comply with school district policies and procedures.
  • Adapt services to meet the unique requirements of students with moderate and severe disabilities.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders.
  • Oregon teaching license with Speech Impaired or Communication Disorder endorsement and/or Oregon Speech-Language Pathology License.
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred.
  • Experience with special needs students, especially those with moderate/severe disabilities.
  • Familiarity with augmentative communication technology preferred.
  • Valid Oregon Driver’s License.
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • First Aid/CPR certification may be required.
