A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available to provide leave coverage through June 12, 2026, in an on-site role within a public school setting in Eugene, OR. This position supports students through a diverse range of special education services, including speech therapy for students with moderate to severe disabilities, emotional and behavioral disorders, and adjudicated at-risk youth.
Key responsibilities include delivering specialized speech-language services, collaborating closely with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams, and utilizing augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) strategies when applicable. Excellent communication skills and confidentiality are essential in this role.
Qualifications and experience desired:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Oregon teaching license with Speech Impaired or Communication Disorder Endorsement and/or Oregon Speech-Language Pathology License
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred
- Experience with students with moderate to severe disabilities
- Familiarity with low and high tech augmentative communication systems preferred
- Valid Oregon Driver’s License
- Ability to work collaboratively and maintain confidentiality
- First Aid/CPR certification may be required
