Pediatric Speech and Language Pathologist in Endicott, NY
An exciting opportunity is available for a full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide services for K-5 students at a dedicated elementary school within a supportive district in Maine, NY. This contract position extends from mid-January through May of the current school year, offering experience working in a school-based caseload model.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive speech-language therapy to students, primarily within Grades K-5, utilizing direct and indirect therapy methods.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and district team members to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the district’s IEP system, with supportive training provided.
- Participate in paid team meetings and manage caseload within district guidelines.
- Provide services in a dedicated therapy space to ensure a focused learning environment.
- Adhere to district requirements, including fingerprinting and licensure verification.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid New York State Speech-Language Pathology License.
- Appropriate New York State Teaching Certification.
- Experience or internship completed in school-based settings preferred, including pediatric speech-language therapy.
- Familiarity with caseload models in educational settings.
- Ability to participate in Zoom interviews for a streamlined hiring process.
- Teletherapy experience is a plus, supporting flexible service delivery.
