Pediatric School-Based Speech Language Pathologist | Elmendorf, Texas

Exciting opportunity for a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist seeking a fulfilling contract position supporting an elementary caseload. This assignment runs from August 27, 2026, through May 27, 2027, at a school near Elmendorf, TX. You’ll work alongside a supportive team, including an SLPA to assist, and have the chance to supervise or provide direct therapy. This assignment is well-suited for SLPs with strong clinical skills, including those who are Clinical Fellows, as the site may be open to CFs.
Qualifications:
- Active Texas SLP license (required)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred, but open to Clinical Fellows (CFYs)
- Experience in pediatric and/or school-based settings highly desired
- Previous experience with elementary age groups is a plus
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
- Ability to supervise and provide guidance to SLPAs
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech-language therapy services to elementary students
- Supervise and collaborate with an SLPA supporting your caseload of approximately 101 students
- Conduct evaluations, develop IEP goals, and participate in IEP meetings as required
- Maintain thorough documentation and progress reporting
- Communicate effectively with staff, administrators, and families to create positive student outcomes
- Adapt therapy techniques for the unique needs of each student
