This position serves a manageable caseload of 41 students, including 1-2 students at a local alternative education center in Goshen, ensuring individualized attention and meaningful intervention.
Qualifications/Desired Experience:
- Valid SLP-CCC or SLPA certification, eligible for work in a school setting
- Previous school-based experience is preferred
- Ability to assess, diagnose, and provide targeted intervention for speech and language disorders
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with students, staff, and families
- Comfort working with diverse student populations, including those in alternative education environments
- SLPA candidates must meet supervision requirements
Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language services as outlined in IEPs
- Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and monitor student progress
- Document sessions and maintain student records in compliance with school guidelines
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, special education staff, and families to support student success
- Participate in meetings as needed
- Provide occasional services at the alternative ed center nearby
