Desired Qualifications:
- Valid SLP license and ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)
- Demonstrated experience providing speech and language therapy in a school setting
- Proficient in conducting assessments, developing IEPs, and documenting progress
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively with students from diverse backgrounds and with varying needs
- Collaborative spirit for partnering with teachers, parents, and other service providers
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate students to determine the nature and extent of speech and language impairments
- Create and implement individualized therapy plans, adjusting strategies as needed
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to interdisciplinary planning for student success
- Deliver both individual and group therapy services within the school environment
- Maintain thorough records and provide regular progress updates to stakeholders
- Advocate for students’ needs and assist in developing inclusive classroom strategies
- Stay current with best practices and continuing education in speech-language pathology
