A Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) is needed for a contract position in Clint, TX, supporting students from PreK through 12th grade. The role focuses primarily on high school students who have not received speech services throughout the year, requiring a motivated professional to address a significant backlog and provide comprehensive communication services. There is also an opportunity to work with K-8 students who have experienced a month-long gap in services, potentially splitting time between two locations.
Location: Clint, TX (Lower Valley region and northeast of I10)
Schedule: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week. Part-time candidates may be considered if they can commit to full days—not just a few hours.
Caseload:
- High School focus: Approximately 64 students plus backlog of services to be completed.
- K-8 focus (secondary option): Approximately 40 students.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language pathology evaluations and therapy for PreK-12 students.
- Manage Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and collaborate with school staff.
- Address backlog by providing catch-up services for students who have missed therapy.
- Maintain documentation and manage caseload effectively.
- Provide communication services tailored to student needs.
Qualifications:
- Valid State SLP licensure (copy of license required).
- Experience with school-aged children from PreK to 12th grade.
- Ability to manage large caseloads and IEP responsibilities.
- Bilingual skills are advantageous but not mandatory.
