A rewarding contract opportunity is available in San Diego, CA, providing speech-language pathology services in an elementary school setting. This role focuses on delivering support to students from Transitional Kindergarten through 5th grade, including those receiving Speech IEP and Moderate Support Classroom services.

Start Date: August 5, 2024
End Date: June 12, 2025
Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 2:15 PM, 40 hours per week
Caseload: Approximately 46 students

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive speech-language pathology services tailored to individual student needs
  • Conduct assessments and develop detailed reports to guide intervention plans
  • Actively participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings to collaborate with educators, families, and support staff
  • Deliver services directly to students in accordance with established treatment plans

Qualifications and Experience Desired:

  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (SLP-CCC) required; Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates welcome
  • Ability to manage a caseload effectively within a school environment
  • Experience working with Speech IEP and Moderate Support Classroom populations preferred
  • Bilingual candidates will be highly regarded
  • Flexibility to work in-person with no teletherapy or hybrid options

Additional Information:

  • Open to Speech Language Pathology Assistants (SLPA) if unable to fill the role with a licensed SLP
  • Position located at an established elementary school site
