Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in Edison, NJ
Exciting contract opportunities are available for three full-time Speech-Language Pathologists in a vibrant school environment starting Fall 2026. These roles offer SLP professionals the chance to make a real difference during 12-week maternity leave coverages, starting in September and spanning 35+ hours per week. The positions are onsite, serving students in elementary settings, including those with high Autism and Preschool populations.
One role is based at Matthew Jago School, and another at Kennedy Park School, both serving K-5th grade. The third position’s specific location will be determined soon, offering flexibility for the right candidate. Please note, these positions are onsite only and do not permit SLPAs. Clinical Fellows are welcome to apply if they can secure outside supervision; applicants with their CCCs are especially encouraged.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid New Jersey SLP License and New Jersey SLS Certification required
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- CCC-SLP strongly preferred; Clinical Fellows with external supervision considered
- Experience working with children in school settings is preferred
- Strong background with Autism spectrum and preschool-aged children a plus
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech and language therapy to students in K-5 settings
- Evaluate students, develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Work closely with classroom teachers, special educators, and families to support student success
- Document progress and maintain records in compliance with school and state standards
- Participate in IEP meetings and communicate regularly with educational team members
