Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist in Edison, NJ

A pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) is needed to provide services at an elementary school in Edison, NJ. This contract position covers the current school year (CSY) and supports two school sites within the district. The role focuses on delivering SLP services for early childhood through 5th-grade students, addressing overflow caseload needs with a commitment of 32.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and indirect speech-language therapy to pediatric students in compliance with Individualized Education Program (IEP) requirements.
- Manage and support a caseload focused on early childhood to elementary-aged children.
- Collaborate with district staff and families to ensure effective communication and progress monitoring.
- Utilize the district’s established IEP system; training and administrative support are provided.
- Participate in paid team meetings and contribute to maintaining therapy documentation.
- Deliver services across two assigned schools with itinerant responsibilities, including paid travel time.
- Maintain compliance with credential requirements, including fingerprint clearance as required for starting.
Qualifications / Desired Experience:
- Certified Speech-Language Pathologist with current CCC credential.
- Experience working with pediatric populations within school settings.
- Familiarity with caseload management and school-based therapy delivery.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Flexibility to support multiple school sites within the district.
