Pediatric School Speech and Language Pathologist | Edison, New Jersey
A rewarding opportunity is available for a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide specialized support within an early childhood educational setting. This position focuses on working with pre-kindergarten students in need of speech and language services, including those with autism spectrum disorder. The role is a contractual leave replacement, offering a chance to make a meaningful difference in young students’ communication skills while gaining valuable experience in pediatrics and school-based therapy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized speech therapy to a caseload of 13 preK students
- Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and document progress
- Collaborate closely with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Support communication goals for children with developmental and speech-language challenges, including autism
Qualifications:
- Current New Jersey SLP licensure required
- Credentials such as Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology preferred
- Experience in pediatric and school-based speech therapy preferred, with autism knowledge highly desirable
Work Schedule and Location:
- 35 hours per week, 5 days per week
- Early childhood school environment located in Edison, NJ
